the second release on vocode records, produced by my partner in crime Lex Luthor... we're working on 003, an LP release of our joint efforts as well.....

- Mood:
excited
this is on hip pop radio. I cant get it out of my head. I really need the get the system in the festiva hooked up... iPod sounds like crap the only thing that sounds okay is terrestrial radio (thanks engineers for mastering for tiny radio speakers!)
I dont purchase much music anymore - its drum n bass mixes all day on the DL or me downloading old school rap albums that I'd bought on cassette back in the day.. the rare new CD that is 100% unkut is hard to find.
The new music I'm hearing from Nas for his upcoming "untitled" LP is just good times - banging beats, production and and an MC who can actually rhyme and make sense. I'm looking forward to making the trek and coppin' this CD. of course, I do this everytime he drops an album... keeping the fire alive...

note - these links are to zshare - which means they'll play in the window with the option to DL. it also means you'll see occasional ads for women in lingerie so if yer work is like that, dont click.
Nas - You Cant Stop Us Now
Nas - Queens Get The Money
Nas - Breathe

3 pit maneuvers by po-po and he keeps it moving.
so in an odd turn of events, I've been asked to DJ tonight at an all electro event. Yesterday the thought of playing records out had me guessing why I'd agreed, but today as the time approaches, I'm pretty feckin excited, especially since its electro.
the bummer is, I need to drive 80 miles to pick up records at Drunkard's house where I'm storing my collection.
A "mad" wax indeed, but eff it. At least this way I can have some more of my precious electro vinyl with me so I can sleep with it at night.
for you denver people, its at Kazmos lounge of 14th and Kalamath, starts at 9 PM - I believe theres no cover and cheap booze, plus your favorite polack jamming on the decks once again. I believe its been almost 2 years since I last played out so this should be fun

my homie gave me a free 8" bazooka amplified tube for my silver bullet. I have no idea how to install this shit. its got this wierd 10-pin connector on one side and thats it... anyone here up for give me what I need to get to install this (wires?) and what to look out for ? Research on the net is inconclusive...

I've booked rooms from La Quinta before, and now I'm on their email list.
Each subject line is "Great Deals from LQ"
which always gets me excited, because LQ is my slang for the liquor store. I always click the email only to be dissapointed.

you know, I moved the family from the city to get away from gang kids having street fights at 2 AM in front of our building, graffitti kids spraying our outter building walls, trucks delivering shit to the hospital, and assholes driving too fast down 21st street.......
to move to a place that has wigger kids fighting at 2 AM in the park, fast & furious kids racing two steets away, trucks driving through what I thought was a side street that wouldnt be trafficked, and assholes driving to fast down our street
what have I learned from this?
you must camp out and live at your potential place of residence for two weeks before moving there
*goes to get a drink*
*yes I know its 8:46 in the morning*

I watch this and it works everytime
this audio capture from a radio show is classic.
Marshall Mathers calls in to this show where Cool J is promoting his new album, and pretends to be some dude named Jason from florida. LL agree's to let this dude quote some of his songs and to have LL see if he can name them. Em proceeds to rip verses from some old cool J classics..... 3 or 4 snippets in, LL tells "Jason" that he's got style and flow. LOL
